Scoperis Scoperis Lead Generation That Looks Ahead

Six stages, run the same way every time.

From the first conversation to the delivered file. If a stage cannot be completed properly, we say so rather than skip it.

The six stages

The beginning of a defined sequence
Plate 09The sequence, on the wall and on screen
  1. Brief

You describe what you sell, who buys it, which markets to cover, and who to leave out. If that is loose, we ask until it is specific enough to research against.

    • What you sell and the problem it solves
    • Industries, sizes, and locations in scope
    • Roles that matter, and companies to exclude
  2. Market work

Before searching for companies, we look at how the market is structured. That tells us where the accounts worth having sit.

    • Map the segments in scope
    • Identify who operates in each
    • Agree which parts to pursue first
  3. Account research

We build the list against your criteria. An analyst reviews every company: trading, not a duplicate or subsidiary, and a genuine match rather than a filter pass.

    • Search against the agreed criteria
    • Remove duplicates, closed companies, and group overlaps
    • Record a fit reason against each account
  4. Contact research

For each account we identify who holds the responsibility relevant to your offer. Where a decision is shared, we provide more than one contact.

    • Identify the relevant roles
    • Find the people currently in them
    • Add a second contact where the decision is shared
  5. Verification

The stage most lists skip. Each detail is confirmed against two independent sources, addresses are tested, and the person is confirmed still in the role. Anything unconfirmed is labeled.

    • Two independent sources for each detail
    • Email addresses tested for deliverability
    • The date of the check on every record
  6. Review and delivery

An analyst reviews the finished set against the brief. You receive a structured file, a written summary, and a source note on every record.

    • Final review against the brief
    • A file in a format your systems accept
    • A summary including gaps and limits
Verification

What “verified” means here.

The word is used loosely, from a full check of role and address to a syntax test. Here is what it means at Scoperis.

One fact being checked against a second, genuinely separate source, on screen
Plate 10One record, two independent sources
  • The person currently holds the role we recorded
  • Each detail confirmed against two independent sources
  • The email address accepts mail at the time of checking
  • Direct phone numbers confirmed where available
  • The date of the check recorded on the record

Two sources are independent when one does not copy the other. Two databases repeating the same entry count as one.

Where a mail server accepts every address, confirmation is not possible. Those records are labeled accept-all, not counted as verified.

Limits

When something cannot be confirmed.

A person may have changed role, a company may not publish direct numbers, or sources may disagree.

  1. 01

    Label it

The record is marked unconfirmed against that field. It is never included as though it had passed.

  2. 02

    Report it

The written summary with each delivery lists what could not be confirmed, and why.

  3. 03

    Replace it

Where a record cannot be completed to standard and you would rather have an alternative, we find one.

Corrections

If something is wrong, tell us.

No research is perfect. What matters is what happens when a record turns out to be wrong.

  • Send us the records in question
  • We re-check them against the original sources
  • Where a record fell short of the standard, we correct or replace it
  • Where a person has simply moved on, we update it

We would rather hear that something was wrong than not hear it. A correction is short work; lost confidence costs far more.

Sourcing rules and field standards are set out in Standards.
